small PP instant call heads up?

    Default small PP instant call heads up?

    was playing a quick heads up match... had this had like fourth hand, reasonably even chip stacks. i didnt think there was any way he had a hand with a 6 in it... what do you guys think? was instant call the right play?

    I wouldn't overbet the flop and I wouldn't call the allin.

    The fact that it was the 4th hand doesn't justify your thinking that he doesn't have a 6, or 45, etc etc. It is usually fair to assume he doesn't have a 6, but you have no idea how he plays. I have played over 2,500 Heads Up Matches so far this year, and my opponents have ranged from people who call raises with 62os preflop, people who open push the first hand with any A, people who CALL an allin first hand with any A, etc etc. IMO you can find a much better spot to get your money in.

    Holy crap GMML - what's your ROI? Maybe you could tutor me cos I feel HU matches against even remotely aware players for me (i.e. I beat most people at $11 SNGs) are -EV.
