Overzealous?

I don't usually use this move. No payoff here, but is this sound in general? On reflection I think I would have been better off doing this on a diamond, ace, or king. Here I was just kind of hoping the jack hit one of them, or one of them was a moron that couldn't fold.

If the J hit one of them, they will bet.. Also the missed draw(s) might bluff. So c/r ai seems the way to go.

See, I think the same holds true about a c/r... if it was a diamond, ace or king you'd almost certainly get a bet if you check, but I think i should lead with the offsuit jack...

jack surely does nothing for any hand about, perhaps except a JT type hand. Id have bet the river for value here at 25nl. At larger stakes id check here hoping someone will bet/bluff at it.

I think considering the calling stations I had behind me, I should have just gone for a 1/2 pot bet and hoped for at least one call. I didn't figure either of them for much on that board. Pity that wasn't an Ad or Kd.

I just value bet. I don't think you can be sure enough that the J helped someone and I don't like inducing bluffs at 25NL. Most people don't think enough.
