    Default QQ in blind war

PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $0.50 BB (9 handed) Hand History Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: FlopTurnRiver)

    Button ($49.25)
    givememyleg ($49.50)
    BB ($42.45)

    UTG ($56.45)
    UTG+1 ($83.25)
    MP1 ($60.50)
    MP2 ($49.45)
    MP3 ($11.65)
    CO ($50.05)

Preflop: givememyleg is SB with Q, Q.
7 folds, givememyleg raises to $2, BB raises to $5, givememyleg raises to $14, BB raises to $42.95, givememyleg .....

This is my second hand at this table and villian is an unknown.... was it a bad idea to 3bet this preflop? He went into "hollywood" mode after my 3bet and took 20 seconds before pushing allin. Should I have taken a flop? Call/fold?

The problem with not 3-betting is that you don't know where you are at still. AK/KK/AA could make the re-raise and you still don't know where you are at on say an AQx flop.

With the 3-bet you really would prefer him to re-raise you a little so you can see a flop and try to snag a Q but with the all-in it's a little more difficult. I'd say you are up against AA trying to show weakness with the delay hoping you have KK and he's trying to rep AK or QQ himself.

I'd be tempted to let this go at the AI, but I think the 3-bet was correct for info gathering. For example, a call of your 3-bet is most likely AK/KK/AQ while a re-raise of it will be AA so you know where you stand in the case he doesn't push and you can decide to play for a set or not.

I fold to the AI. You can't rule out AA just because he pushed. If someone 3-bet against me when I held AA, I'd push AI, as a 3-bettor probably isn't folding to my push.

I think I would've taken a flop, and if its friendly, bet/raise but fold to raise/reraise. That's my standard line at least, don't know if it's good or not.
