    Default Complicated hand

This was one of the more complicated hands I've played in a while, and I'm still not sure what to do.

I didn't have very many reads, but I've seen UTG before and get the impression that she's not a horrendous player.

Paradise Poker No-Limit Hold'em, $1 BB (5 handed) Hand History Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: FlopTurnRiver)

    SB ($41.00)
    Hero ($194.65)
    UTG ($108.50)
    MP ($1696.70)
    Button ($343.15)

Preflop: Hero is BB with 6, 8. SB posts a blind of $1.
UTG calls $2, MP raises to $6, Button calls $6, SB (poster) calls $5, Hero calls $4, UTG calls $4.

    Flop: ($30) 5, 5, 7 (5 players)
SB checks, Hero checks, UTG checks, MP bets $30, Button folds, SB raises to $35, ($35)UTG raises to $137.5, MP calls $72.50, Hero calls $67.50.

    Turn: ($337.50) A (4 players)
    Hero checks, MP checks.

    River: ($337.50) 8 (4 players)
    Hero checks, MP checks.

    Final Pot: $337.50

On the flop, SB goes all-in for 35, I call that 35, the UTG goes all in for 137, MP calls and I call.

ok didn't realize that. why did you not bet the turn/river? i'm not sure about the flop line, i'll give it some more thought.

In retrospect, I think I should have. I got hung up on the fact that given three other players had expressed a strong interest in this hand, I was probably beat by at least one of them. Of course, given two of them were all-in, I should have been focusing on the one remaining player. Certainly I should have bet the river, if not the turn.

I've only recently switched from limit, and so I'm new to this kind of situation.

Lead the flop. As played, push the turn.

i'm not sure if you are beat or not here, a tricky hand indeed. what i was meaning to come to is, if you won't play when you hit, what's the point in calling with the draw(s) in the first place?

Indeed, but that was part of the problem. Given three people who have shown interest in that flop, what are the chances I'm good? My guess at the time was I was least likely against a straight draw, a good chance I was up against a flush draw, probably bigger than mine, and a good chance I'm up against a trips, who could outdraw me to a full house. As to the third guy - another flush draw? (which would probably be a good thing) An overpair?

It all became too much for me so I just called!

    Downswinging holla!
I would probably push after MP called the big reraise, but anyways as played definitely push the turn, you MUST get it all in on the river here. Wouldn't be surprised to see somebody with a boat here or a higher flush, but I expect us to be ahead of MP so definitely build a side pot here, he has a lot committed and probably won't fold to a turn push.

Well for the interested the results were:

MP - Kc 7c (and he goes on my buddy list)
    SB - 2s 3s
    UTG - 5d 6d

    and MHIG

I'm still not sure about my flop call though. I know that a straight flush draw is a monster with 15 outs, but some of those outs have to be discounted in this case.

The hand I'd be worried about most is 77.
I think with 2 people going all-in, and the third guy just calling with that huge stack, you should just push on the flop. I dont think MP will fold for $80 more, but if you just call and he puts you all-in on a non-spade turn that dosent complete your straight you're not going to feel so good. Even if the turn is a spade and he bets, how good do you feel about your 8 high flush vs someone who called those large flop bets and is showing strength with a 3 suited and paired board? I really dont think you can fold here given the amount of outs you have, and just calling puts you in a tough spot on later streets. Not to mention you are out of position .. hm yeah I push.

As played, I'm pondering if you should push the made flush on the turn or not... If you put him on a flush draw, chances are his flush is higher than yours.. But, he could also have an overpair that is 99-KK if he is donkish enough, and if one of his cards happens to be a spade I dont want to let him check behind and possibly outdraw me with it. Also, if he called those huge bets on the flop with an overpair, he'll probably call a turn bet from you as well, but at least you are getting the money in while you are ahead... Given you have outs to a straight flush as well if he does happen to have a higher flush, have a made flush and might have the best hand already, against only 1 opponent who isnt already all-in, in a pot that is over 3x your remaining stack, I push the turn.

    K7c?????????????? roflllll

yes, if you're not going to trust your flush, then why call the flop?

I say get it in on the flop, or at least the turn.
