Default I hate this hand! (KK reraised pf OOP...line check)

KK = shit! maybe not, but I've lost a lot with it lately, and almost never get away from it when OOP and starting with over a 20bb pot on the flop, unless it's an ace flop or with nitty reads.

Anyways...what do you think of my line? No reads at all.

    (can't convert hollywood I guess)
Texas Hold'em $0.50 NL (real money), hand #677,585,274
Table Poway, 3 Jul 2006 9:23 PM ET

    Seat 1: jackaroe1 ($24.40 in chips)
    Seat 2: bamajh33 ($78.50 in chips)
    Seat 3: fab5freddyp ($99.45 in chips)
    Seat 4: fatslobdrunk [ :Kc:,:Kd: ] ($52.00 in chips)
    Seat 5: psufan0 ($55.60 in chips)
Seat 6: PorterDK ($47.25 in chips)
    Seat 7: amun-ra ($36.05 in chips)
    Seat 8: NOVA.SCOTIA ($46.95 in chips)
    Seat 9: Paul_S1 ($14.95 in chips)
    Seat 10: robmeyer12 ($23.30 in chips)
    ANTES/BLINDS
fatslobdrunk posts blind ($0.25), psufan0 posts blind ($0.50).

    PRE-FLOP
    PorterDK calls $0.50, 5 folds, bamajh33 bets $2, 1 folds, fatslobdrunk bets $6 (reraise more??), 2 folds, bamajh33 calls $4.25.

    FLOP [board cards ,, ] POT=$14
    fatslobdrunk bets $12, bamajh33 calls $12.

    TURN [board cards ,,, ] POT=$38
    fatslobdrunk checks, bamajh33 bets $10, fatslobdrunk bets $34 (all-in), bamajh33 calls $24.

I'm not sure about the check/raise. Maybe lead/fold? I tried repping missed overs and figured worse pairs might call and I have some equity against a non-nut flush. If he had 88/44 I didn't think I could get away from it since I didn't have a read.

You can either reraise preflop and fold to a push; or just call preflop for set value.

Or push if you can live with getting stacked by AA.

    himself fucker.
its tough, in this spot if you lead the turn, you're probably commited to a raise behind and only getting worse hands to fold.

i think this way is good especially considering the weakish bet he makes when checked too.

A converter that works for Ongame (Hollywood/PokerRoom/etc) is here:

    http://www.neildewhurst.com/hand-converter

Don't forget to select FTR in the settings menu-- otherwise it defaults to ITH which doesn't work well on this board.

Let me guess-- this guy open raised 84o, right? Ad2d? Oh-- I know! 7d2d! [As you can guess, I really can't tell what the hell the players on Hollywood are doing. Maybe they're just that good.]

haha! you are close. he showed :Jd: :Td: and I never improved. what a bitch, but at least nobody said this was overplayed. it's hard to play oop with big pots on the flop.

and thanks for that link, I was wondering if theres a different converter.

and yea...seems like really different play at hollywood vs party so far - more loose calls. and the 2-6max games seem even better (or worse depending if they get lucky like this or not). it should be profitable after enough hands at least, as long as i dont pay off the draws/call-stations too much.

i think this is getting lazy and results oriented.

The solution isnt always to just move one street ahead of the trouble and tell them to bet/raise harder.

i realise how true this is, its just that i did this against small stakes players who were poor and made the most of their bad decision making.
They will make bad calls so i just made that bad into awful.

The hand was played right imo btw, just reraise to 8 or maybe 9/10.
