This isn't a bad beat, he out flopped you and that's when the money went in.

Well it's not a BAD play but it's usually not a good idea to go broke in an unraised pot. I have to say that it's not a good play. I can't really see anyone calling you with a worse hand here.

the pot before you bet is $0.90. Bet $0.50-$0.70 and make those flush draws/gutshots pay to draw. If you are reraised, then fold.

    How about neither? Unfortunate situation?

Generally, it's a bad idea to assume villain has (or doesn't have) anything in an unraised pot, and suited connectors certainly is a hand that many people would limp preflop.

Why go broke and bet stack into a $7 pot?

If the guy flips AK ur a genius.

Unfortunate situation is correct however a pot like this can only really be determined by reference to your reads on your opponent.

If the guy is a donk and would bet the same and call with pair of Aces then its just bad luck.

If the guy is a solid player then its extremely bad play because in a limped pot with that flop no one is calling 5 x pot all in with anything less than trips.

There's not much in the pot and your opponent has re-raised 2.5 the pot anyway. There's a flush draw so it is obvious he is trying to protect a hand.

Given his stack size I'd guess he is solid so u should know you are losing after his first raise. Fold or flat call and if u miss ur boat on the turn fold to any medium sized bet.

i think it is fine to call something a bad beat when they have an unfortunate hand but your play was solid.

in this case, I think it would be really hard to get away from this. But I think you won the least you could from a worse hand. Play it a little slower and let weaker aces and flush draws pay you off, instead of scaring them and giving the max to this 45 to boot.
i betcha that i got something you ain't got, that's called courage, it don't come from no liquor bottle, it ain't scotch
