Middle set, monotone flop

    Default Middle set, monotone flop

    MP3 is 21%/12%/5 over 72 hands. CO is 16%/2.5%/2.5 over 89 hands.

I'm not getting away from this hand (maybe that's leak #1) and I'm trying to get it all in on the flop here or at least draw in some more money. The reason for the minraise on the flop was I put MP3 on a high PP; he either pushes to get me and CO off our "FD", or calls down if he's cautious and just wants to see the turn if the flush hits. You expect MP3 to hold Ac or maybe Kc here, right?

I would have folded PreFlop after the raise from MP, and I have serious doubts about calling AI on that flop. At best your pot odds are equal, but certainly not that great...

I would fold that, too dangerous a flop for me.

you are joking on folding prefop right????? you are getting the correct implied offs it is 1.25 more and he only needs 10x the raise ammount therefore the minimum hero can call and be justified is 12.50 and Villian has 20x the raise ammount.

Preflop this is an easy call, the flop i might gamble and hope to hit my re-draw 7 outs on the turn 10 on the riv.

Hope i don't sound too retarded here

its called set farming, sets are hard to read when you hit them becuase they appear on very unassuming flops and also flops that loan themselves to draws you're probably also on.

I think the hand is played fine, draw to the FH baby!

though, i hate your minraise. They're dumb and reflect poorly on you as a poker player. Please be ashamed for posting a hand where you make one.

Had you made a man's raise, the hand would be an easy gamble for all yer chippies!

Why on earth would you minraise on a3-flushed board? As a general rule I don't mess with them but you gotta at least 3-bet that.

    preflop is fine

raise more on the flop. not because I hate min-raising but because you have such a strong but hugely vulnerable hand and it's a shame to let someone draw cheap (and correctly) on you. As played this is the stupid-easiest call you'll ever make on the flop.

Your definition of 3bet is off. he cannot 3 bet this flop its not making the original raise 3x.

    A 3bet is

    Me: I bet 1
    You: Raise to 5
    I: 3-bet to 100

the 3rd raise on any given street

you realize it's the preflop raiser pushing, right? If he did have AcKc or AcQc, is he pushing to shove the CO off a hand that he has the nuts? I figured him for a AA/KK/QQ with the club. Maybe JJ but if he's oversetted me, oh well.

For the results oriented-- CO had AcK and MP had Tc8c. So much for me putting him on a hand.

This hand is standardly played, and even if they all flopped flushes you have +EV. Minraise is ok if you are headsup with a read but here its too dangerous and the fabric of the 25nl game is such that you will often just get calls instead of 3bets.

Do you just push the flop then? I know the proper play is to figure out a way to get it all in here, but do we *want* to be called? We're unlikely to push someone with 3c2c off their flush at 25NL. Do we *want* to push Acx or Kcx off this hand, or do we want them in there while we're ahead? I guess the better play would have been to look at the BB's stack and raise so they'd be pot committed and push in for us. I was looking more at pressuring MP figuring him on an overpair, not even considering that MP had me beat already.
