i like that line better than the one you took.

He didnt raise from the button which makes me thnk he didnt flop the straight with KQ but may have it with 87
Saying that there are two hearts too so he may have a flush draw. Set too, but again why no raise.
c/r the turn for me, and prob call a push.

Three bet the flop. But you have to at least check/raise the turn as played. River sucks but you have to call that too.

    Reads? Anything?

Openlimps can literally mean anything on the button, from better players its often a marginal hand like J9s, maybe a suited connector, etc. From a donk it literally can be any two cards and they just didnt want to fold to the blinds or are passive in general. It could also be AA/KK getting trappy not wanting to win just the blinds.

Im potting the flop and most likely three betting. On the turn Im not all that sure, without reads its hard to know where to draw the line, against a lot of players Im going to try to get my stack in.

What would somebody's general thought process be on the turn if an unknown called a 3bet on the flop? What should our main objective be and how would we achieve it?

Raise preflop, 3bet flop, c/r turn.

Make a pot sized 3-bet on the flop. As played, lead the turn for pot or c/r. C/c on this turn just sucks.

is the generic top two line on a draw heavy board to try and three bet?

C/r turn sucks. That minraise could be a free card play and you don't really want to see a , 8/9/Q/K at the turn, especially OOP. So 3-bet to 4-5$ and fold to a push.

    Raise preflop too.
