Was that worth a try? This looked weak from him, all the way really. I don't believe he's hit anything. Maybe a jack, but it looks like the K was a scare card to me; but that's a weak read off a handful of hands.

#2 looks like a value bet on the river. I think you are behind here more often then not.

hand 2: you can't just check-raise someone because they make a weak bet...you have to represent a specific hand, and your prior streets need to make sense, which yours dont, at all. KJ leads the turn and the river. AK reraises preflop and leads the river or check-calls. flopped straight gets more value on all streets. your line makes no sense. nothing worth check-raising that river only check-calls that small turn bet.

Hand 1: Near PSB on the turn, fold to a raise, if called fold to the river push. Mega obvious draws here.

Hand 2: At best you could be repping a really delayed set line, but I don't know if you can assume he's that smart. A4s is possible if you were acting loose enough... but this looks strongly like a J here, and the $3.50 was a blocking bet against someone with a K. But considering your out of nowhere raise, I'd call it to see what you showed down.

1 is fine, nothing you can do but win money by folding in the long run.
2. dooooooooooh. What exactly are you representing here? How often is that going to get looked up if opp has a hand? Enough to make it not worth it imo.

1. Normally I like a 1/2-pot bet here, but with multiple draws on the board I think $5 or $6 is better.

2. Fold the turn. He's not giving you the right odds for your overs. With your TAP read on villain the river c/r could be a good line.

Yeah, I thought my c/r in the second was suspect. But one advantage of being considered a bit passive yourself is that these things come out of the blue and that perhaps add weight to them.

As far as what I was representing I'd say trips hit on the flop; checked/called to build the pot and then raised at the river...
The sort of crap I used to do more often...

Villain folded, but I don't know how much can be credited to a good read. Probably little, mostly just luuucky.

Why don't you c/r the turn on hand one, why just call and give him the free draw? Not that I would usually do that (I mean, check aces up to my opponent), but for the sake of variance raise it up to 15$! You don't neccesarily want to go to showdown with aces up and a flushdraw out, do you? He could easily be repping the flush because you showed weakness on the turn, trying to push you of your (obviously mediocre) hand.
