I will turn semipro this year, I'm on my final year at high school, i only have to go to school: mon-tue and every 2nd week on wed too, giving me alot of free time for poker, which is great. My roll (only profits) is currently 4k and i have just loaned 5k a total of 90 x buyins, which will give me relief.

I'm not talking about highish stakes(not ready i know'), only 100nl, which i consider to alot more fun that 25nl/50nl. I'm gonna see to get 80-100k hands in per month, mostly 8 tabling on FishPoker and some bonus whoring on other sites(with fishy 100nl tables?). I think i can run at 3.5-4pt bb/100 hands at 100nl, after my first 100k hands at 100nl i'd slowly be moving up to 200nl.

My overall goal: buy a nice car(hummer, porsche cayenne, bwm x5 etc) which has room for my wheelchair: i have muscular atrophy if anyone is interested in knowing that, im not retarded or anything, only thing is i cant walk, no pity kthx. I want to provide my self with my own money, since im prob not will get a "normal" job(not that i wanted to anyways ).

I'll be spamming the nl hh section alot, being involved in almost every thread, with my calm and friendly approach. I'll also start my own pkr blog.

Strip. You dont have to loan 5k - in fact I would advice against making gambling debt at this point. You'll be more than fine with 40 buyins (4k) at NL100. And yeah btw, play shorthanded, theres more fish and money involved!

I know where you're coming from...high school wise at least. I just finished high-school, and believe me, i wanted nothing more than to get it over and done with and play poker.
But seriously...graduate high-school and get into uni...you'll have plenty of time to get at least 60k hands/month and still graduate uni and have a degree which could help you get a job if poker doesn't go your way.
OBV, the mentality is that you WILL own it..but remember the cardinal fucking rule...leave yourself outs.

I wasnt comfortable either when moving from FR to 6-max. Yeah theres more variance, but if you make the switch you will thank me in a month from now on.

-ev huge, if your playing 100000 hands a month then this is such a mistake as you would be making probably atleast 1.5k off of rake back, I don't know about you but thats enough for me to live well and be able to not care so much about how much moneys in my bankroll since i'm already making good money

bonus whoring is such a hassle to me I would rather be going through one big hassle than a never ending streak of little hassles

Mate you can't play semi-pro without rakeback. It'll be like half your earnings, most likely.

Thing is, don't you reckon if you drop the 40 buyins you actually do have, you might take the hint and quit poker? The worst thing would be to waste someone else's money on what is clearly a hiding to nothing.

(NB I don't for a moment think you WOULD lose so much, but I don't understand why you need this loan buffer when you've already got $4k?)

Also are you paying interest on this loan? That's seriously fucking -EV, especially since you'll hopefully not even be using it.

No offense, but based on the number of hands people say they play per month combined with the number of hours they spend posting on FTR, I would say half of it's members have muscular atrophy from the waist down.
