I had a good session last night, this was the biggest pot I lost all night. This play is one I run into a lot, where I bet my top pair all three streets--so I am wondering if I should be betting my TP all three streets. I am sure he has his flush on the river. Was river bet proper amount to find out ( I think I should have bet $20 if I was going to bet), or should I have check/folded? Should I have put him on AQ (I really didn't consider that hand much) Should I have shut down on the turn when a possible str8 draw completed? I had seen him chase draws to the river a couple of other times. I had about 140 hands on him. Opponent is 20/3/2.5 postflop AF....

Did u consider a blocking bet of, say, $8 on the river?

I didn't consider a smaller bet than I used becuase I thought it looked weak and would get pushed on. I thought $15 looked weak too... Maybe I should have....HMMMM....need to chew on that.

I don't get it.. you say "I am sure he has a flush on the river" yet you bet $15? Does this guy always attack weakness? If so, are you also trapping him by showing weakness when you know you are ahead?

I should clarify, I know he has a flush on the river when he raises me...I was 50/50 until that point.

bet an amount on the river you are prepared to show down for, if opp raises when the obvious draw completes then dump it.
You played it fine other than you should put your opp ona flush draw imo once he calls $10 on the turn (assuming hes a fish)

stop betting full pot on the flop. its making the pot too big on the turn and river.
