Pot control

    Blinds: $0.10/$0.25
    4 players
    Converter

    Pre-flop: (4 players) Hero is Button with A J
    UTG folds, Hero raises to $1, SB calls, BB folds.

    Flop: 2 J 6 ($2.25, 2 players)
    SB bets $0.25, Hero raises to $1.5, SB calls.

    Turn: Q ($5.25, 2 players)
    SB checks, Hero checks.

    River: 9 ($5.25, 2 players)
    SB bets $2.48, Hero calls.

    Results:
    Final pot: $10.21

    Is this correct usage of pot control? Marginal hand vs an opponent who probably doesn't have many outs. Villain is loose/passive.

    Raise bigger on the flop if you're not planning on betting the turn.

    Also, with some practice it's very easy to figure out where you're at here.

    I don't think so.
    when i try to control pot size i usually do it on the flop by chk/calling with a marginal TPTK or TPGK type hand. this way most opps never put u on TP when you bet the turn and will call you with weaker hands. Also the turn bet is smaller so you can get off cheap when u have to.

    As played i think you should reraise more on flop, bet turn and chk/fold river.
    Success is how high you bounce after hitting bottom.
