You're not making it very hard for an overpair to fold here. He folds AA here often enough that you get much more money check/calling and putting in a nice fat bet on the river. Now, pushing on the flop here might get you a call by AA....

I don't like the push... This guy isn't going to call with anything that your beating. If he had a really hard time calling you flop bet he's not going to call the turn. You want some value out of this hand, right?

My thoughts:
It's a $144 pot, he figures to have 8 outs with 2 hidden. Not to mention all of the action killers on the river and the times he does call me here. Getting him to give it up without seeing a river card isn't a total loss.

Personally, I like this hand better than an AK in the same situation where you can be basically assured that no action is forthcoming on a A or K high flop...unless it helps the villian more than you.

I don't see how he can lay down his QQ here but anything else might not call and I don't see him not pushing AA/KK on the flop.

Nh, I don't see a way to play it slower. Bottom 2 vs. overpair is only 75/25 anyway.

How about b/3b flop? Tough for him to fold and he has to raise the flop. You're losing some cbets though..

i like the balance here of not leading because the board is so draw heavy that if you c/r on a suspected protection of a mid pp or an flopped pair (maybe even a strong draw of some sort) you encourage him to either push the flop over you or call the open push on the turn (which could be a hard semibluff)
I like it, and i think a standard nit has trouble getting away from it (especially when you open push rather than bet) but as noted somewhere else, you make it possible (not necessarily easy) for nit to fold AA/KK here however.
I also get the feeling if you check here on the turn opp may check behind in which case id look to c/r the river as nit bets for value but the board is so heavy that a lot of cards kill your action too much
