    Default Ugh, me hate shorties

Full ring game is winding down, nothing special on the villain, seems tighter and more passive than most 50NL party donks this time of night (4am eastern).

Party Poker No-Limit Hold'em, $ Hero (6 handed) Hand History Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: FlopTurnRiver)

    Hero ($44.90)
    UTG ($19.69)
    MP ($15.70)
    CO ($96.52)
    Button ($12.30)
    SB ($23.75)

Preflop: Hero is BB with K, K. SB posts a blind of $0.25.
UTG calls $0.50, 4 folds, Hero raises to $1.75, UTG calls $1.75.

    Flop: ($4.75) 6, Q, A (2 players)
Hero bets $3.5, UTG raises to $7, Hero...?

The dreaded min raise with just enough left behind to make it a decision. I'm also a shorthanded NL newbie. How often is this a Q or flush draw instead of Ax?
Some days it feels like I've been standing forever, waiting for the bank teller to return so I can cash in all these Sklansky Bucks.

i hate shortstacks too. i think you're behind here a lot esp if he's a bit tight passive. fold is goot. calling and trying to check it down is ok too, minraises are often easy to call. also, i don't lead the flop all that often.
i betcha that i got something you ain't got, that's called courage, it don't come from no liquor bottle, it ain't scotch

Fold is fine. If you have a tight image you could push here and rep AQ, but against a tight/passive I'm probably folding. I raise a little more pre-flop.

    I fold.

Lots of hands that beat you here: Ax , 66, AQ, QQ, 66 plus flush draw.
A couple of things to look at:
    1) Yourself and your contination bets. Is your % high???
    2) Have you tried c-bets and folded to raises on this table??
    3) Is this villian tight/passive (if he is then fold)
    4) Was this villian really protecting his strack, or did he lose the last hand, then maybe tilt!!!

    Good luck!!!

Thanks for the input guys. I folded. I figured this is Ax almost always.

    1. My cbet % is fairly high
    2. I've tried them and folded before
    3. semi loose, passive (loose enough to probably limp Ax UTG)
    4. nothing big I recall, the table had been pretty tame, mostly small pots.

#2 Could mean he was taking a shot at me, but I don't think this was the case. He seemed passive enough to only raise with a decent hand.

table selection... pick a new table 4 of them half less than half a full buy in at 6max
