Default and the Cardinals rule all!

    WildBob, where you at now?
Those babies you be having with Kenny are gonna be all covered up in pine tar. Pine tar and muconium, wow, I don't even want to think about that combo.

I'm back after a self-imposed exile due to my last post in a sports related thread. If the Chiefs would quit chasing that "Passion Party" ass, I would have been right. Dang hookers with a hotel room full of toys cost us a game, and me a nice hit to my FTR Community reputation. I said I'd quit poker, but I lied. What can I say, I lie a lot.

But I digress, the point is the Cardinals are up 2:1 and playing the next 2 games at home. LaRussa is taking the high road, and I plan on having no excuses if we win this thing. I am feeling confident right now, but not cocky yet.
Bonderman, Phat Albert is coming for you. "Hey, hey, heyyyyy!!"

I certainly wasn't referring to Bidwell's deserters. AZ can keep 'em. Fold pre-flop.

Never read any stickies or announcements
speaking of the CARDINALS, they ruined my dreams of the raiders becoming the first 0-16 team in the history of football.

    himself fucker.
Go from 30 minutes away from a very convincing victory over the number 1 team in the land to losing to the worst team of the past decade.

What a pitching performance. Here's hoping Suppan can do it again!

Is it going to rain too hard to get the game in tonight, String?

    I'm still here.

What can i say when granderson, polonco, and rodriguez are 0 for the series?

And you live in KC but you're a Cardinal fan? Do you cheer for the Royals at all? How come you're a chiefs fan and not a rams fan?

    Royals? Who are they?
Nah, I'm a STL transplant that went to school at Univ. of Kansas, so I have all sorts of mixed up loyalties:
    KU Jayhawks,
    STL Cardinals,
KC Chiefs (went to KU as Rams came to town, so no loyalty there),
    STL Blues,

I go to a handful of Royals games every year. Especially the interleague games with the Cards Royals are just a way to get my MLB fix during the summer when I can't get to a Cards game. Not to mention the National League is how the game should be played, IMO.

I hope the tigers still win. Are there even people out there in St. Louis? I'm pretty sure anything east of new york is just a fable.

Yea well, we'll see what happens in the series. Verlander won't pitch that bad again in his next start and I don't know wtf was up with Zumaya last night. I also hate the 2-3-2 format baseball uses.

The media was saying how we were going to walk all over the Cardinals but I did not think that for a second. I mean, they won the NLCS 2 of the last 3 years and the lost in game 7 the other year.

Granderson, Polonco, and Rodriguez are just killing our chances right now. It's disgusting.

If the tigers has come in right after the athletic sweep I think this would be a 3-0 series for them but the waiting period kinda killed their momentum.

I really don't see us scoring enough runs to win this series. The week off just killed our offense.

Hey debbie downer, let's not give up just yet.

Not giving up but wow. How can you have any confidence at all at this point? Pudge is on an 0-23 streak. Granderson, Polonco, and Pudge are 0-34 in the series. Combine that with our pitcher having to hit in St. Louis and right now, we have 4 automatic outs in our lineup.

    Just being realistic.

What about the UofL Cardinals? Undefeate, ranked #6, huge game against undefeated WVU next Thu.

They're not going to play tonight. It's pretty miserable here right now and I doubt it will improve much by game time.

I was going to try an be a baller last night so a friend and I went downtown to try and get tickets. I was hoping to find something for around $500, but the cheapest I could find for a shitty seat was $600. I know I could have got him down to $500 or maybe even less, but I got cold feet after the experience of buying a counterfeit ticket during the regular season. I mean if the dude was ripping people of $24 during the season I can only imagine what people are trying to do now.

I had to settle for being pseudo-baller by drinking imports at the sports bar we went to.
TheXianti: (Triptanes) why are you not a thinking person?

Bigred, your knowledge of playoff baseball is outstoundingly poor. O-fer is not a good thing, and doesn't make you due. Not much EAST of NY except a big pond. And the Cardinals will never be mentioned in the same sentence as the Buffalo Bills. They are the second winningest franchise to the Imperial Army in NY.
Nevertheless, I appreciate your A-rod knock.
By the way, I'm going to raise pre-flop because I'm 0-30 and due to hit a set with my ducks.
