Default 100NL 6m Line checkup with draw vs. possible nit

PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $1.00 BB (6 handed) Hand History Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: FlopTurnRiver)

    CO ($98.20)
    Hero ($98.50)
    SB ($99)
    BB ($164.25)
    UTG ($108.05)
    MP ($154.30)

Preflop: Hero is Button with J, A.
3 folds, Hero raises to $3.5, SB calls $3, BB calls $2.50.

    Flop: ($10.50) K, Q, 8 (3 players)
SB bets $10, BB folds, Hero raises to $30, SB raises to $95.5, Hero calls $65 (All-In).

    ---

Villian appears to be nitty - his stats are 11/7/2 over about 43 hands. I haven't seen him do much.

    How was this played?

    Oppps.

Probably just a call on the flop, he's got to figure to have hit that board.

Yup, probably looking at KQ here at worst.

Does AK play it that hard?

He doesn't want you to suck-out, also the raise to $30 pretty much asks the question "do you want to play for stacks here?" anyway.

Doesnt AK reraise preflop? This looks more like KQ/set to me?

I like the flat call. If he hit the board that hard, he's going to pay you off when you hit your hand.

This just screams of 88 given villain's range.

well, i think this might be a good place to play a draw like a draw.

I like to call and wait for the turn. On the turn it's more obvious if he wants to take his hand all the way or not. Then you can act accordingly.

    As played is fine, though.

In that game, AK flat calls in that spot a lot.

Not trying to turn the discussion, but I was in almost the exact situation tonight... Say you just call like recommended, turn is 2 and he leads for another psb. Standard to call again and hope to hit?

I agree, but given villain's aggro factor he doesn't play AK like this post flop.
