Turn bet needs to be much higher in hand 1, esspecially if you're just calling on the flop.

I think you see a hand like ATc or something silly often enough at this level to play for his stack. I probably would have bet the turn though.

Dude, raise the flop in hand 3.

I'm no pro, but I think you need to learn how to play your big hands stronger.

    Raise.

Hand 1: Reraise the flop, bet more on turn, push the river - all for value.

Hand 2: seems ok, although i'd like to bet the turn. did you go for a check-raise here or was your intention to keep the potsize in control?
You will see here some set of nines or QT sometimes, but at this level there is enough value in this hand - i'll call here everyday.

Hand 3: raise his weak flop bet.

    Hope this helps,
    Double

    anosmic,

Hand 1: Raise flop, build a pot. As played bet way more on the turn - again to build a pot. River call is fine, as played. A lot of draws hit by the river.
Hand 2: Bet more on the flop, against an unknown I lead this turn and call a push.
Hand 3: Raise flop to build a pot and charge draws. As played, lead turn and stick it in.

Cliff note: Raise more and increase your bet sizing when you have a hand.

As background villain in hand one played this with me one orbit earlier:

    No Limit Hold'em CryptoLogic ($NL)
    Converted by FTRConv
    6-handed

    StacksBB: $261.80
    UTG: $126.37
    Hero: $116.50
    CO: $92
    BTN: $16.88
    SB: $207.75

    Pre-Flop: Hero is UTG+1 with J J
UTG folds, Hero raises to $4, CO folds, BTN folds, SB folds, BB raises to $8, Hero raises to $25, BB calls

    Flop:($55.50) Q 5 8 (2 players)
BB checks, Hero bets $25, BB folds
    Final Pot: $55.50

So I decided that given his range and general looseness I'd see if I could play a more trappy line. Obviously got to be careful about the overpair, but felt confident head's up post-flop.
Plus I almost always 3-bet here and I wanted to mix it up a bit.

Plan was to call the flop, raise the turn and get as much in on the river as possible if he was still there.

I really thought that more than a half-pot bet would have him folding so I went for exactly that.

When he lead the river I had to think. It was possible that he was trying to get tricky with an overpair, but unlikely. So either he's completely lucked out and hit a runner-runner, or he's bluffing.

I'd put him on the bluff like 75% of the time here, but I don't think he'd call the raise. So I think I have to call, because he'd only call a re-raise with the flush.

He flipped over AKs (hearts) and so I took down the pot.

For hand 2, I really don't like the idea of betting the flop too heavily. I know it's a co-ordinated board, but really I've upped a little from my c-bet size and I just really want them to be left guessing whether I've hit or not.

When the ace came up I thought it's a fairly standard position for a bluff-inducement. If he's got an ace he's going to be tempted to take a shot and it's a nice place to try a bluff if he puts me on KT or something.

Sure QT and I'm toast and he may have just picked up a free card for the draw but I think the difference between taking down a $10 pot and shooting for his stack was worthwhile.
    Villain had QJ. btw.

Hand 3 was just an attempt to get something going because the table was a bit timid. Lot's of small bets. Wanted to see if I could get them to throw something in here.
When the Q hits the turn I'm not making any moves till they've played. Let's hope for a spade for the guy on the draw and if they've got the Q then let them bet it. So I check/raise.

River is a nice card, so I can bet it out now and everything goes in.
I think I could have picked up a £3 pot on the flop and was willing to take the risk for a more juicey pot (and I do have outs even if the turn had been a spade).

Villain had 67o, so not the draw I expected but it hit anyway.

There's certainly an argument for playing more straightforwardly at this level. But at the same time I don't think these guys are entirely stupid and as far as I've seen short-handed games sees more people getting aggro against my monsters than catching up with me.

Thanks for the input guys. Appreciated.

Quit slow playing your hands, especially on draw heavy boards.

Calling the river in the first hand is leaving way too much value on the table.
