1. always raise. raise more $ as you said. a diamond can really slow down your action, so slowplaying is bad idea.

2. seems fine, but sometimes i like a re-minraise 3-bet, keep them on the hook.

call in the second hand and let him fire the turn. he thinks you have missed overs, why try and change his mind.
