Against an unknown, what is a good flop line here?

I kinda want to check (looking to call) to control pot size and induce bluffs.... but I think it's too suspecious to rr then check this board. So just bet. $20-30.

Don't reraise AQ OOP against an unknown you just sat with. If his raising range is tight you're trapping yourself. You want to be a little less aggressive OOP overall until you build relationships at a given table. Then you can open up and extract the max before and after the flop.

Once or twice I've actually flat folded this kind of spot preflop before gathering reads. That's not often, but it has happened. Especially at 6-max, your value comes from exploiting the opponents. In this spot, you're setting up a built pot OOP where if you make your flop you're too far ahead or too far behind, such is the nature of AQ.

As played I like taking a line to TT-JJ for extraction from weak aces and strong kings, but that's just me, and may not be the best idea.
