    Default Iwind's bad calls thread

    This actually does seem like a good idea, I'll post here every big call I make when I'm behind. Hopefully there won't be too many hands in this thread. Feel free to leave comments.

    the only clearly bad hand so far is the one where you had KT
    My bankroll is the amount of money I would spend or lose before I got a job. It is calculated by adding my net worth to whatever I can borrow.

    Passive = bad.
    She looked at me and said youz a baby right?
    I told her, I'm 18 and live a crazy life
    Plus I'll tell you what the 80's like
    And I know what ladies like
  12. #12
    Usually yeah, not always though, but the hand is bad for sure.
  13. #13
    Do you find yourself calling out of curiosity, even though you know its a bad call, you do it anyway just to see if you're right? That's the biggest leak I know of in my game at the moment and was wondering if you have any tips on how to get more discipline?
  14. #14
    I'm working in that, I think that's probably the biggest leak in my game at the moment, dicipline, and talking myself into calling when I'm pretty sure I'm behind. Maybe curiosity has something to do with it, but it's mostly hoping that it's a bluff and not being realistic enough. I don't really have any good tips now, but as I get better at this I might.

    iwind, that last hand is very interesting.

    Theres a fine line between when you should make a value calldown with a hand, and when semi-bluffing it on an earlier street is more profitable. Anyone have any thoughts on where its better to do one or the other?

    it probably has a lot to do with the aggness of the villain. If the villain in that last hand were h@l, then wouldn't your line be optimal, considering how much he spews?
