Default 1/2, bluffing in a family pot

PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $2 BB (6 handed) Hand History Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: FlopTurnRiver)

    SB ($271.95)
    BB ($168)
    UTG ($186)
    MP ($709.95)
    Hero ($282.10)
    Button ($210.70)

Preflop: Hero is CO with 3, 3.
UTG raises to $6, MP calls $6, Hero calls $6, 1 fold, SB calls $5, 1 fold.

    Flop: ($26) 8, K, Q (4 players)
SB checks, UTG checks, MP checks, Hero checks.

    Turn: ($26) 8 (4 players)
SB checks, UTG checks, MP bets $12, Hero raises to $40

MP is a regular, but i think he is a mediocre player. I've seen him make small value bets of 40% or 50% of the pot before when he has middle pair.

It's fine I guess. Unlikely for him to have the K so it's Qx a lot. Sometimes 8x/JT. Did UTG slowplay KK?

    If called, do you follow-through?

i don't think you can do this with two people to act behind you.

But they've already given up on the pot; they acted before him.

I think it's solid when the flop checks through. someone needs a big hand, good read, or be real bad to call. don't think u should follow through if called though.

a bad player might call here w J10 thinking they have "implied odds vs your trips" so I wouldn't even mind firing another bullet on the river

but based on your read another bullet prob makes no sense
when the vpip's are high and the value bets are like razors, who can be safe?

Following through doesn't make sense. 33 is ahead of JT, and the other hands in the range don't fold enough after they call the turn raise.

99% of the time, UTG and SB would bet the turn if they had anything.

I've seen a lot of people stupidly try to check raise an 8 here, or just straight up slowplay it.
