reraised pot with TT

This was in my 2nd or 3rd orbit at this table, and I prob appear to be getting out of line, raising quite a bit pf and having runner-runnered someone else.
All I know about SB is he's about 20/10/aggro after about 200 (datamined) hands. Also, it seems like more of the 100nl tag regulars on UB reraise light than any other place I've played.

there's only a psb left if I call, and I'm planning to fold to another bet. any other ideas?

If you're going to call a non-set flop isn't it better to just re-raise to like $50 preflop?

I guess I don't like the call here - I either raise to $70/push or fold this flop.

(btw - I know I have no idea what I am talking about regarding NL cash, so please flame away - just give some details in the flamin')

i think i fold because i expect to find a better spot.
Unles opp is really reraising light lots i think you can find a fold. Calling si an option i guess, but how do you fold any turn card with pot versus stack size.

This is one reason why I prefer a raise to 4x preflop. 5x just makes the reraise too big to play for a set with average stack sizes.

Youve said hes aggro so If you call on the flop you probably have to call down barring any unusual cercumstances and im not sure how happy I am calling down with tens here.

How much has he been reraising? Lots of players with 10% PFR still arent reraising more than QQ+, AK.

My problem with calling is that there are about a million scare cards that can destroy you on the turn. I think the choice is probably fold or push here and I dont think we are ahead often enough to push. It all comes down to how aggro he is though and I really hate this spot.

chardrian, I get what you're saying, but didn't put another raise pre flop because I'd expect at absolute best to be coin flipping if called, so it just makes my hand a bluff really.

But I do agree I shoulda just dumped it on the flop. Calling just isn't worth it. I was trying to squeeze value out of AK/AQ/random stuff but that's too slim and risky if he pushes the turn anyway since I have no idea if he is capable of that or not based only on stats.

also Pelion - I think you're right that 4x would've been better since this would look like a good spot to reraise me, and I know ppl with his stats do that sometimes even at 100nl, not sure about him though. I'm not sure in general though because 5x might isolate the limper and secure the btn better. think I'll bump that other thread...

With your read the hand is standard so far, the turn is where things get fun.

I agree completely. Villain is shutting down the turn with AK that calling the flop with an over pair is a must. If he bets again on the turn its an easy fold but without a read you've got to call the flop. Raising turns your hand into a bluff and would be pretty bad. If checked to on the turn I'm not all that comfortable building any more of a pot and I have foundmyself checking behind. Although, I wonder if betting 1/2 pot would be more correct.

hmm, that was pretty much my thought too at the time. just sucked that this is what happened:

Turn: K ($86, 2 players)
SB checks, Hero checks.

River: Q ($86, 2 players)
SB bets $86, Hero folds.
Uncalled bets: $86 returned to SB.

Results:
Final pot: $86

if those cards were blanks (like 2, 2 instead or something) and same action I guess I could make the call figuring he woulda bet turn w/ JJ+ and me checking looks weak. it's just tough to make these calls not knowing the player very well and not a ton of experience with this.

also, another real similar hand happened recently and I actually bet 25 on the turn (board was K 5 8 4) but was c/r all in on and had to fold JJ.

So I've been wondering if it's really worth calling at all on the flop...
