I can see the value of knowing your opponents in a situation like this. Either way, this bet looks like; i have a set i want to get paid off. Or; i missed my flush draw and i suck so i put out a tiny bet and hope you fold. Finally, it could mean; i think my J-x (J-10 Maybe?) is good and i am betting for value when c/c would make more sense. I don't know if he is a smart player, but it would seem to me i have a majority of hands beat and i have to make this call. Is that true? Any other problems with this hand? I also wondered if i should have just tossed the A-J pf or had instead reraised, since my position was ok.

on thos board i bet the turn a lot on a draw heavy board and check behind on a lot of rivers.
Your line is fine too, just call this river bet.

    $26 pot (4:1) with TPTK. Super-easy-call.

Your flop raise sucks FWIW. There is $12 in the pot. You're giving the donk better odds to chase anything and good odds to everyone else. If you raise you need to make it $10 minimum. I would go with $14.

However, this sucks because you're bloating a pot and you have no idea where you are. AJo isn't a good multi-way hand, if you're not raising after 2 limpers pre-flop you need to pitch it.

Yeah I fold this preflopizzle. If you raise the flop, raise more. Don't raise the river!

A-J being a poor multi way pot hand makes sense now that you all mentioned it. It also seems like a weak hand to reraise to isolate with; i will probably toss this more pf. Thanks for the advice.

Depends on how wide villains raising range is. Against bad post-flop opponents (i.e. Ax is the nuts) you can almost play AJ like AK.

The idea you're looking for is "gap concept". You need a stronger hand to call a raise, then you do to raise.
