Default what a night. more hands. ty.

Instead of studying for my last final on my Friday night, I decided to play poker.

    1) Line check. Only been at the table for 20 min, but they both seemed bad so far.

PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $0.50 BB (6 handed) Hand History Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: FlopTurnRiver)

    MP ($16.70)
    CO ($39.20)
    Button ($76.80)
    SB ($6.95)
    BB ($78.90)
    Hero ($50)

Preflop: Hero is UTG with J, Q.
Hero raises to $2, 1 fold, CO calls $2, Button calls $2, 2 folds.

Hero checks, Button bets $5, Hero calls $5.

    River: ($26.75) A (2 players)

    2) Line check. Only 30 hands with the villian, he seemed decent with TAgg stats.

PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $0.50 BB (6 handed) Hand History Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: FlopTurnRiver)

    Button ($12.15)
    Hero ($51.45)

    3) Is this okay? Only 15 hands with the villian so far, but he's 71/0 for stats.

    Final Pot: $74.45

    4) Villian's 60/30 over 20 hands. He bought in short when he got to the table. Do I have to call the flop push? I only did 'cause I thought I was priced in? Pot is $52.85 after he pushes.

    Turn: ($66.95) 8 (2 players)

    River: ($66.95) K (2 players)

    Final Pot: $66.95

    5) Been waiting all night to be in a big pot with this guy. He's pretty loose. Doesn't seem like a bad player per se, but he makes marginal calls. I haven't seen him bet OOP yet on a flop after calling a preflop raise (over 120 hands), so I was pretty sure he had a pair of kings at least. Usually he'll call preflop and fold to a c-bet unless he has something.

    UTG ($85.90)
    Hero ($87.25)

Preflop: Hero is MP with Q, Q.
1 fold, Hero raises to $2, Button calls $2, 1 fold, BB calls $1.50.

    Flop: ($6.25) Q, K, 4 (3 players)
BB bets $2, Hero raises to $6, Button folds, BB raises to $11.5, Hero raises to $17, BB calls $5.50.

    Turn: ($40.25) 2 (2 players)
BB checks, Hero bets $25, BB calls $25.

    River: ($90.25) K (2 players)
    BB bets $73.5, Hero calls $43.25 (All-In).

    Final Pot: $207

I don't like hand 4 at all, and I think you should raise to more than 17 in hand 5... maybe to around 30?

Gabe, why wouldn't you just shove the river with trip aces against that big of a calling station? I don't think he would bet a five, but he might be stupid enough to call with it. Players like that don't usually bluff with missed draws, either.

hand 2, bet turn. He checks behind here a lot. The last thing you want to do is give his flush draw or gutter a free card or have a scare card come to kill your action.

hand 1) tough spots really. I might fire the turn against somebody that I think will call me down light, but checking is probably better in general. Calling the $5 seems obvious, but hit a different card on the river. An offsuit queen would be ideal.

hand 2) 3-bet to $7 or $8 here prefop a lot, although I guess there's nothing wrong with calling (besides the fact that it sucks). I like the flop lead, and I think the turn is good as a mix-up play but not as a standard line.

hand 3) I'd probably bet more on the turn for pot manipulation reasons. I like the river play. I think your hand has more value as a bluff catcher then betting does, and I'm not sure that I'm ever going to fold this here. I'm not sure if this is bad.

hand 4) do something else. That could calling pre, or reraising more pre so it's effectively push/check to you on the flop, but I don't like this at all. Gotta call on the flop though as played.

hand 5) make bigger raises, if he overboated you on the river then you're obviously not getting away.
