Default Am I wrong???? Bad Play???

Can't use Hand Converter but here goes...

GAME: .25/.50 NL-Mansion Poker Full Ring

    UTG (Hero) $60.00 Dealt (10s-7s)
    SB $65.00

Preflop: Hero calls .50....MP1 calls .50....LP1 calls .50.....SB raises to 2.50....Hero calls 2.00...MP1 folds....LP1 folds.

    Flop (6.50): Jd-9s-4s
SB bets 3.50....Hero raises to 9...SB calls

    Turn(24.5): 6s
    SB checks....Hero bets 14....SB calls 14

    River (52): Ad
    SB checks....Hero checks....

I was playing loose aggressive...trying to see flops in position and use post-flop play if I catch something. On the flop I was trying to buy a free card to hit an out on the river if I didn't catch on the turn. I checked the river for fear of Js with an As,Ks, or Qs. SB turned over aces for a set and I won with my 10 high flush. He started commenting on how I called a raise with a crap hand and such. Was it really that wrong?

bef99hwk, there's a lot wrong with this hand...

    1) Fold pre-flop. No matter how loose you're playing, you should never play this hand from early position. MAYBE limp behind a few other limpers in late position, but still usually fold it.

    2) Fold to the raise from the SB. This isn't quite as bad as your open-limp, because you'll have position on him, but you're still way behind his range here.

    3) Bet that river!!! You're afraid of a higher flush?! There's no point playing this hand pre-flop if you don't milk it for all it's worth.

If you're going to experiment with a loose aggressive game, do it from the cutoff and the button to start and play a solid, tight game everywhere else.

    Ew.
Fold preflop, fold to the raise preflop, call the bet on the flop and don't raise, bet more on the turn, bet the river
My sig is too much for you to handle.
