Default Single handed or 5 handed?

Is there a difference in variance (ie: which has less?) between playing Blackjack single handed (meaning you only have one hand) vs playing 5 separate hands against the dealer's hand?

I'm trying to clear a large WR and the five handed is so much faster, but I have no idea how to figure out if it riskier, safer, or the same.

    Any ideas?

Has to be riskier seeing how you are multiplying a -EV game times 5

5 $1 hands is less risky than 1 $5 hand.

But 5 $1 hands is more risky than 5 $1 hand deals.
    I'm a know-it-all.

    No, really.
