I don't think that it would of made much of a difference. It lookes like the villian got what he was looking for (probably his flush draw) and he already had his mind made up on the way he was going to play it if he didn't hit. I think that it was a good fold on your part cause there was a lot of things happening on that board but I have a gutt feeling that you had him anyways.

Looks pretty standard. On that board though you're not wanting to build a pot and i could argue a check on the turn to be advantageous for you. You can let him price you in pretty cheaply as most players have problems building pots with strong holdings.

if ever there was a time to catch a river bluff-raise, this is the time

    stack-sizes make his bluff perfect

that being said, this type of bluff is usually not seen (by me at least) at lower-stake games. It's just weird of him to have made his gutshot here. Maybe with some combo draw like Ad5d but that's about it as far as i can see.

Still, your fold isn't way -ev or anything.
when the vpip's are high and the value bets are like razors, who can be safe?

getting more money in with the best hand makes all the difference

i would be willing to go broke on turn, so check raise allin is good too

your opponent played this hand like a draw on a very very drawy board

the likely draws missed (unless he s a fish who chases gutshots) so check-call seems better to me than hoping he has 99-88
