    Default Is this +EV?

    $10NL, I have ~$14, he has ~$6. He's been playing fairlyloosely, doesn't seem to mind getting his money in if he's flipping coins or even mediocre combo draws etc., he seems to be looking for a quick double-up, he's pushed all-in on a few flops before this hand came up.

    Dealer: Your cards :Ac: :Kc:
    Dealer: gosub raises $0.20
    Dealer: marcomoi33 calls $0.20
    Dealer: Wichtel calls $0.15
    Dealer: Benoso raises $0.80
    Dealer: gosub folds
    Dealer: marcomoi33 folds
    Dealer: Wichtel calls $0.70
    Dealer: Dealing Flop
    :Ts:
    Dealer: Wichtel checks
    Dealer: Benoso bets $1.80
    Dealer: Wichtel goes All-in $4.98
    Dealer: Benoso calls $3.18

    Could someone please go through the Ev equations in this thread, I'm still not 100% sure when calculating the EV.

    Thanks in advance.

    Well, there's 8.50 in the pot and it costs you ~3 to call. That's roughly 3:1, thus you need to be 25%. It's impossible to put this kind of player on a useful range, but I guarantee you're better than 25%.

    Board: 2d Ts 6h

    equity win tie pots won pots tied
    Hand 0: 51.793% 48.49% 03.30% 69127 4708.50 { QQ-22, ATs+, KTs+, ATo+, KTo+, QJo }
    Hand 1: 48.207% 44.90% 03.30% 64016 4708.50 { AcKc }

    I think he does this with a wider range. Coin-flip with the pre-flop overlay easily good enough.

    He had JTo in the end, but I'm still happy with the call.

    Flop is very dry. I would have been certain villian has a pair here, giving you 6 outs twice. I guess he could have AQ here once in a blue moon, but also set,2pair, even AA/KK.... AT/KT are also bad for you. all that seems rare to me and roughly cancelling.

    If there were 2 suited on the board insta-call.... as it is, 6 outs give you like exactly 25% equity.

    I guess the runner-runner outs makes it good to call, but it's very close to neutral. I disagree with swig that his range is very wide here. KQ? AJ? Maybe if he open-pushed, but c/r all-in?

    Swig, I really disagree with the range you put him on. Here's what I come up with:

    Board: Ts 6h 2c
    Dead:

    equity win tie pots won pots tied
    Hand 0: 19.482% 19.48% 00.00% 7329 0.00 { AcKc }
    Hand 1: 80.518% 80.52% 00.00% 30291 0.00 { QQ-TT, 66, 22, ATs, KTs, QTs, JTs, ATo }

    I don't think he's c/r'ing AI on this dry board with less than top pair.

    I don't think pre-flop and the flop are as standard as others might think.

    I really hate the amount of money we left ourselves behind on the flop because we have a marginalish call after we c-bet.

    Care to elaborate?

    Well I had him covered easily, but I think I see what you mean.
