don't know him, but he was constantly short-stacked and he acted on the flop/turn extremely fast in this hand.

    Standard call.

Opponent has shown no strength until river, but could have bet big only because you checked the turn. I don't look too deep into auto checks and what look to be auto calls checkmarked. Although, last time I saw a guy do this, he was slowplaying preflop and flopped top set.

When I check the turn on an uncoordinated board with TP, I'm hoping for a cheap showdown and hopefully a bluff from opponent... ergo my river call.

Did he flop top set? If he did, I'll be paying more attention to the quickness of checks and calls.

    I sometimes raise this pre-flop.

Post-flop I'm looking up an unknown here just about always.

I see a few regular short stacks at stars always buying in at 20BB. they have a very very tight image, and play strong with good hands. but because of their short stack they often get callers cause you really don't lose that much going all in against them. I have fallen prey to this

EX: I raise, villian calls, flop comes, and I make 3/4 pot sized bet. they go all in, and it is like 8BB to call, so I do cause hell why not. They show down better hand.

martin: I thought you were playing 100NL.
    what happened?
