Why horrendous? A little on the small side, but pot-sized re-raises are standard and this isn't far below that. I'd make it $7 ($6.50 is pot-sized) because effective stacks are 110BB, but I wouldn't call it horrendous.

I think you have to fold to the flop raise. You told him you have QQ+/AK and he told you that he has you beat or that he has big balls.
