    First hand: bet
Second hand: I'd check, if it wasn't the 4c or 9c I'd bet.

    1. Bet, call a raise all in anyway. (is this prima? i expect to see the queen here more than anything else)
If you really think he had a draw then check and hope he pushes it all off.

    2. Check here, although i think its a fair arguement also that a better hand would have led into you here but the river fills up every draw, so we only beat a calling station.

Ok I was doubting myself a bit when I made this post, wondering if I was just getting coolered or actually playing bad. Blah I should just have more patience.

hand 1: I figure vs these sorts of players I have to felt overpairs so I shoved, and he called with K3 for trips.

hand 2: I'd expect a good player to lead out if he made his hand, but here I dunno so I checked behind and he had 56o.

if this IS prima, they normally minraise that turn with the trips and make it easy for you to fold. Unusual to see them make the call after luckboxxing it.

Value bet hand 1 and check behind hand 2.

I thought you played higher stakes than this though.
    PSU Class of 2011 weeeeeeee!

I bet both rivers (shove depending on stack sizes/potsize) especially hand 2 where I almost never see ppl c/raising big hands on river at these stakes.

edit : I can see why checking hand 2 is good since the st8 might have gotten there and is playing scared of the flush.
when the vpip's are high and the value bets are like razors, who can be safe?

I'm trying to get back there. I hadn't played in a few months so I recently restarted with a $130 BR. I think I'm rather overskilled for 20NL (lol), and feel bored when playing there so I'm not exactly playing A+.. guess this is normal. But I figure I have to stick it out until I remake a decent roll.

Yeah this is prima, I'm still playing on unibet because I can cash out to my bank account directly from there. And I also figured I'd have gotten minraised if I was beat, guess they aren't that dumb anymore.

Anyway, I'm basically playing weak/tight atm, waiting to make a hand.. I really want to play more aggressive but I just think it's retarded to be semi-bluffing draws and stuff like that when they call like this (with bottom pair etc).. agree?

I agree. Even at $25NL I have the same problem. You really can't get too aggressive/fancy at these stakes. Boredom can cause some sloppy play so you need to watch that.

Surprisingly, the contrary is true. The standard seems to be to check a monster on the river OOP. I'm actually decreasing my value bets on the river now because of this..

wow surprising. I guess this just gives more weight to the strange phenomenon of super high stakes games resembling super low stakes games.

At midstakes, only the better thinking players go for c/raises on the river in my experience. And when I donk around lowstakes I typically see ppl open push and stuff when they make a big hand oop.
