I don't mind the flop call but I'd definitely raise the turn.

You raise preflop and both an A and a K come out and he leads? Are you hoping the other guy comes along? Why not raise here?

looks bad; how could you be bluffing?
My bankroll is the amount of money I would spend or lose before I got a job. It is calculated by adding my net worth to whatever I can borrow.

    that's the problem.

Here's the thing though : I call the flop hoping 2nd villain will come along for the ride or raise the flop.

Once he folds, my goose is cooked if I raise the turn since it's a card that's so unlikely to help me ; flat-call flop/raise turn is just about the strongest line I can take.

I looked at the stack sizes and realized that if villain makes any kind of bet on river he'll be commited and if he checks I can push giving him almost 2-1 to call.

This is a line that just doesn't make any sense and I'm hoping he'll convince himself to call since it's so hard to put me on a hand.

Still not sure if I like it but I think if he's any good he insta-folds an AQ/AJ-type hand to a turn raise... He just got to the table so he doesn't know if I'm a mega-fish or not.

    Interesting spot.

i agree, so it seems like if you think he is a solid player you should just value bet like 52 as played

In that case, yeah I value bet the river. But if he thinks your bluffy I kinda like it.

a rare spot where making a smaller bet with the nuts on the end may have more ev than a large bet

    I agree

However, I rarely value-bet rivers if I get there with close to my remaining stack in the pot. There are lots of reasons for this (and exceptions).

In this particular hand, there's no way I'm going for a value-bet as opposed to a shove since villain has taken a super-strong line.

BTW villain had AK and called off his stack. whee.
