Default I'm a top pair donk!..

    Hey guys,

here are a few hands from tonight. I'd apreciate any feedback.

    Hand 1:

-I can't say why I limped this hand.. especially UTG, I almost always raise or fold here. (so I know this was stupid)
-I had seen guy in blinds min-raise the last several orbits, so I figured I was ahead of his range and in position so I bumped him
-After the min-raise, I got to showdown reasonbly cheap, and lost to A8

hand 1: I dont really like preflop, but you know that. Post flop i think is fine. I never really know how to read a chronic min-raiser like that.

hand 2: with those stats on villain i think i just shove over the turn raise. If you flat call you only have a <1/2 PSB on the river so i think its best to put your money in now. since villain has an AF of 5 i think he is betting a draw hear a good % of the time as well as a weaker K/2pr.

hand 3: Thats a set line I take alot from the blinds. I would flat call and see what happens on the turn and fold to alot of action.

Yah, Hand 1 was bad preflop for sure. But postflop, given the bet sizes from villain, can I/should I find a fold anywhere?

i dont know, honestly. i still have alot of trouble w/ hands like this. There are only 2 better A's that have you crushed, but w/ villain being a min-raise super donk i just have a hard time folding. Since the bet sizes are so small he is either scared or taking you to (minimum) value town, and w/ the pot odds im getting i like a call down.

Cool, thanks for the replies bode-ist.

Anyone have any thoughts on Hand 3. I was really stuck between the idea of flat calling, or raising strong here, on the flop.

I raise to $27 ish on flop and fold to a push. If he smooth calls and leads strong, I think you might be able to find a fold. If he checks to you, check behind for pot control, then call a reasonable river bet. This could be KJ, QJ, TT/99/77/78. Could also be a set, but checking behind on the turn helps to minimize a set's damage.
