Without a read I think you have to fold. You only beat AK, which should raise PF, and QJ or TT and below. I think KT and two clubs make up a good bit of the range here, and I have even seen really passive guys limp AQ UTG.....

If you call that turn, and you don't hit one of your four outs, what would your play be on the river, especially if a straight or flush card comes?

Sometimes he does. Going further with this hand is not solid poker without a read however. I don't understand calling a river push. I'm pretty liberal about looking people up, but that would be something else.

the odd time you'll see AK no club protecting vs 4 flush

lots of the time you're already beat though. laying down here isn't terribly weak.
