My trip report:
Arrive at about 10:30 a.m., late for donkament but perfectly content to play cash games. Excited to possibly meet some FTRers but apparently I just missed you guys. Also, I did not leave a message on ISF's phone ( I didn't call it cause there's like no reception inside the casino) and I'm interested to hear what this person said that made ISF think it was me.
Anyway, I warm up by playing 200 max from about 11-2. I don't pick up anything playable for a long ass time. Then I played two big hands:
Folds to me on CO with AKcc. I make it 10, lagg who has been running over table calls in SB (he has like 1700 in front of him).
Flop AdQdAs.
He checks, I bet 15, he calls.
Turn 6c.
He checks, I bet 35, he raises to 70, I call.
I had shown down 2 double barrel bluffs recently so I put him on air/boat here, mostly air.
River 9s. He bets 100 (his standard riv bet in any decent sized pot), I call. He just mucks.
For the next hour I just continually lose position raise +cbet and am back to 300. Then I pick up AKo after two limpers and make it 12, they both call as well as one of the blinds. Villain in this hand has 225.
Flop AK4r.
Checks to me, i bet 25, 2 folds, 2nd limper makes it 60, I call.
Turn T, we get it in, he has 44 GG sir. So i'm stuck a buck and a quarter and decide it's time to move to 500 max.
I played for 4 hours at this table; here are the interesting hands.
I raise AdKx to 30 in EP, get one fairly loose caller in late MP.
Flop KdQhJd.
Check, Check.
Turn 8d.
Check, he bets 60, I call.
River Jh.
Check, he bets 120, I call.
He shows 7d 9d, meh. Comments appreciated.
Next hand eff stacks~650
I have 52o in the blinds, two limpers so pot is 20.
Flop Jx5h2x (rainbow).
I lead 15, solidish limper calls.
Turn 2h.
I bet 35, villain calls.
River 8h.
I bet 55, villain raises to 110, I think for a while and raise 100 more to 210 planning to fold to a push. What do you think? Should I have gone for more and still been able to fold to a shove? How much more does he call with Jx backdooring a flush where x is probably 9-K. Any merit in just pushing?
Anyway he called and mucked.
Last hand i will go over, eff stacks 550.
I am racking up my chips to leave, I have stated that this is my 3rd to last hand and I have been playing conservatively.
I limp 6s7s UTG+2 behind an earlier limper. TIGHT sb makes it 20 to go, we both call.
Flop Ts 8s 4d.
SB bets 40, UTG+1 calls, I toss in 200. SB shoves after only a few seconds of thought, utg+1 folds, i call. He has Ac Ah, giving me 56.3% equity, but obviously the turn/river comes 8d, Ad. NH dipshit.
Since i'm now stuck instead of up a few hundred I decided to stay another hour and a half or so, and ended up losing 2 coinflips against shorties and a few hundred more making a play against a spewy lagg when he'd randomly flopped top two after PFRing garbage.
GG turning stone. hope you DC guys enjoyed yourselves more than i did.
