When i started at Full Tilt 100NL, i was playing a lot more loosely (i was like 23/10/3 now like 17/10/3). Playing SLAAG was -EV for me since my postflop is still quite weak. I am trying to improve, but for now playing more selectively is resulting in a higher winrate.

Is folding after the flop c/r the correct play on this hand?

In the future, i am trying to avoid playing K-Q OOP, for reasons many players here already know but i am finally starting to get it drilled into me

Muck this hand UTG, I'd like to say that you can call the flop and fold turn but I think that's spewing. Folding flop is best and I think you're up against AK a good deal of the time here.

I raise this pre-flop. Why the tiny c-bet? You're asking to be bluff raised. Make it $10 and fold to a raise.

i dont mind preflop, if youre going to raise JTs/Axs and 88 UTG then adding KQ is a must IMO at 100nl.
Flop is a c/c IMo then a turn bet folding to a reraise. Also consider how we can use this with a flopped set in this spot etc etc.
KQo is too good a hand to muck, id like to hear Renton's thoughts on it too if he turns up

Did the villain make a mistake by raising Hero's flop bet? I'm unsure of when to do this.

I raise more PF, I like a 4xBB+1BB per limper raise. I raise KQ in all positions, you have to be very careful postflop, as you can see. When someone calls behind you, they may have you beat already.

I lead flop as you did, but probably $10, and fold to a raise, unless you have a read that villain habitually tests your cbets.

I don't think villain's raise is a mistake, I think it is a good play, as long as he plays sets the same way.

Pre-flop raise size is fine, particularly if he's opening a wide range.
C-bets should be 2/3 to 3/4 pot.
You can often fold to this raise.
You should often check the flop out of position. (see NLHE T&P)

Do you like the "check a lot of flops when you get called behind" on a dry board like this?

I have started checking flops when called behind, but more likely when the caller is TAGGY.

checking keeps the pot quite small as you c/c, it also encourages other players to tip their hand strengths to us before we even need to commit too much to the pot.
Also our c/c bet turn line tips our hand face up making it easy to play aginst other opps. Ofc, when you play top set or middle set like this then you encourage players to push you around versus a really defensive line.
