    Default Image play.... horrible?

Sauce just told me this play is horrible but id like to discuss the merit of image plays because of the tight range opp puts us on. I assume this is probably not the spot.
Villain has been three betting me in pos a lot, to a point where it's safe to assume he's doing it sometimes with complete junk. I haven't called him at all over prob the 10 time he's done it, except one time with a pp where i c/f a bad flop.
BTW my call pre is merited on the fact that decent amount of flops im check pushing.

I don't mind it if you think you can get a fold here.
As an image play it sux. I think is looks like you got fed up with his pre-flop shenanigans and made a stand. That is what he wants b/c this allows him to make the right decision each time. You don't even beat a couple high spades.
Playing live . . . thanks alot Bin Laden.

With almost zero outs, this is a bad spot to try this.

I think this is definitely a losing play in the long-run, even if you could calculate the meta-game benefits (which won't compensate for the amount you would lose doing this too often).

I'd just like to note for further responses that this play had nothing to do with metagame, and the fact i am decently sure it's horrible.
More of my question is is how do you make adjustments to your image to balance your range for specific tables/opponents. and what spots would you look for against this light three bettor when you have barely called any of his three bets.

I don't understand why this is bad

Same as my J9s hand. http://www.flopturnriver.com/phpBB2/...oker-53746.htm

I think I played with this guy a few times and he owned me pretty bad by picking up my bluffs..This is obviously necessary against these type of players, but maybe have a hand the first time you do it...wtv you have backdoor outs, ha!
Nine to five is how to survive - I ain't trying to survive / I'm trying to live it to the limit and love it a lot //

I love suited hand's like this, I actually probably play them too frequently, but hey its a positive BB/hand on Poker Tracker so what the hell.

However if im calling 3-bet's with them its usually with position, unless hero & villain are deep.

If I believe said villain is frequently 3-betting me light, I would usually widen my 4-betting range in position, and in some cases even make large shoves with AK type hands OOP for image.

Back to the hand, I can't see the call OOP ever being +EV for te following reasons:

    1) You aren't going to hit a flop often enough to continue against any heat.
    2) Despise how good of player somebody is, you just cannot outplay your opponent enough to make it profitable

As for the all-in, what type of hands do you think villain is folding here? Unless he has complete air preflop, its going to be hard for him to fold any decent hand with the board being drawy and no real scare card.

I did this because i thought villain would fold QQ-(-JJ), AK/AQ/KQ/air

One of my favourite HUD statistics I have setup is "Att. to steal blinds". I 3-bet pretty light against opponents showing a high percentage statistic.

Sooner or later opponents are going to play back at me, which allows me to play top pair more aggressive, effectively and profitably. In most cases im having a hard time folding an over pair on that type of board.

The hand mentioned is not crazy bad, and in few instances I would play AA similiar against such an aggressive opponent and let him hang himself. However I would have to give my opponent alot of credit to make this profitable without AA.
