Default How's this bluff against fishy?

This guy was pretty bad, very loose/weak. His line was so ghey I just could not resist going AI on river, figuring he would fold everything but a full house or a 3.. Good/horrible?

Your line makes no sense and when it makes no sense i think it's safe to say the hand is bad.
I just fold turn or river.

fold preflop. as played, you should give up on the turn.
  4. #4
I don't like it and would fold the turn. However, I think the preflop raise to isolate the horrible player is OK.
  5. #5
    ugh. just give up somewhere.

    I dont get the comments....

I raise pf, raised flop, called turn for pot control, value raised a safe river...Why can I not play AA/KK like this?

Also, you guys saying fold, what do you put villain on? What do you think calls this bet on river? I'm playing TAGG

What does this gay river bet mean? Does no one smell weakness? I also did this because we were 150BB deep, at 100BB I would not

his river bet is weak and i like your line.

tho i´m frequently losing money with moves like this against passives, who either bet weak on the end to induce a move or intended a blocking bet, but call anyway.

I don't understand what makes you think that this guy, who has called your PF raise, your flop raise AND has led out on both turn and river, will put you on AA here with such conviction that he'd folding his own overpair. Your line reeks of AK; but the more I read it, the more trouble I am having understanding his line. Is he value betting you to death on the driest of board? Is he trying to induce raises? Is it a series of post-oak bluffs? Or is he incredibly weak and wants you to go away/see a cheap showdown? If your read tells you it's the latter, this may not be a terrible push. But it's definitely a suspicious river bet, and if he isn't as weak as you think he is, I can imagine him calling you down with a worse hand than you expect.

i think this is pretty horrible. Hes shown that he obviously likes his hand, so i give up after he calls the flop reraise and leads out the turn.

This type of fish blocking bet is them trying to control the pot on the river, but still call when pushed anyway I find.

Villain calls and shows exactly JJ? Sometimes TT or QQ.
It's not what's inside that counts. Have you seen what's inside?

that wont happen because of preflop

more likely 8x or some stupid pair

Yeah exactly, and this guy just seemed weak, not the type of player who would make a hero call. I thought.

cashbags said, "your nuts...you gonna show me after I fold"
    He then folded.

I just hate shoving here and seeing opp show up with the nuts.
I never see this line by opp ever so idk what really to make of it. But clearly you had some read on this type of line.

This is fine imo. Usually I would fold turn, but def not always if you think the combination of value when you hit and bluffing scare cards will get him to fold a ton of his range...

The only problem I see with ur line is that your river raise is way too big. Raise to say 225 and it may look even scarier/more like a value bet and it will fold the same part of his range while saving you 150 bucks.

I agree Alexos, his line does look weak, and i don't mind this. You could just fold the turn though, there isn't that much more value in this line without some kind of history of it.

I disagree with Sauce bout the river bet. I like the push, it doesn't look bluffy and i don't want this guy to feel "priced in."

    noooooooooooooooooooooo

Unless by weak you mean he folds a lot. In that case this is very good.

Only asking since some ppl define "weak" as players who call down super-light.
when the vpip's are high and the value bets are like razors, who can be safe?

nonono, weak as in likes to bet/fold a lot...although this usually happens on flop with this guy...

Also weak as in his hand doesnt look that strong either, and he'll have a hard time calling with anything but FH/or a 3. We're pretty sure he doesnt have TT+ here also.

i've noticed that many 30-40/10 even 60/1 stat players actually play weak like that, bet-sizing their hands while also not playing big pots without big hands...
so ya i think this is decent, even though your line doesn't make a ton of sense.
also i hope that u were seen as not a "bully"
