normally I would never slowplay the nut flush but the chance to draw to a royal surely would anyone like me be prepared to check to see the cards?

Anyway I probably got about as much out the hand as I could

If you're playing poker for fun and careless about money then check, but if you're playing for money bet that shit, also raise preflop.

I probably would have checked through, depending on the stakes and the table. Just for giggles and grins...

    I agree with them. ^^

If you like money, raise preflop, make a real bet on the flop.

Now I'm confused doesnt Aokrongly (sp?) in his 17 hand strategy include AQ as a limping hand? I'll be damned if I can ever find his post again so I dont know how to check

aok's strategy is very basic, it's not always the best option. With only one limper and a strong hand pre, this is a good time to raise.

You weren't going to get much out of the hand no matter how you played it, though.
