Is HOH II a must have if trying to get serious about tournys

I've read HOH I and reread the parts that i've struggled with/didn't understand.

Well, I feel I'm pretty solid in most of the concepts (my discipline can be lacking at points) but the middle to late stages of the games are where I always struggle, I've made it deep ITM one placing 15th in out of 920ish in a tournament last week, but have never made a final table, and if/when I usually make the ITM, it's the really shortly after i'm ITM i drop like a fly. So would HOHII be a good investment?

The way I see it, Its $20 or something. If you learn something that adds an average of $0.50 per tournament to your win then its not going to take long for it to be a worthwhile investment.

Ive read it. Its pretty much the same style as the first one and its got some good new material in. I enjoyed it but I very rarely play tournaments anyway. You could probably find most of the stuff in there on the internet if you looked hard enough and asked questions though.

QFT - I have read all three and have read Vol's I and II a couple of times.

Btw, if you are struggling with some of the concepts in Volume I you may want to re-read it before venturing to Vol II. You can do that or read Vol II and THEN re-read both, however I would vehemently say that they are must reads for anyone who wants to become proficient at tournament play (unless you are Courtiebee and know all of that anyway, hehe).

I have to agree with everyone else here, if your going to play tournaments you need to read that book, the third one i would consider optional however.

HOH 2 is an essential read. The "Inflection Points" section of the second book is, in my opinion, the most important concept in tournament poker.

I agree. However, No Limit Hold'em Theory and Practice, Small Stakes Hold'em, and Super System 1 are great books. Also, the Poker Essays series, Getting Started in Hold'em, Kill Phil, Ace on the River, Pot Limit and No Limit Poker by Ciaffone & Reuben, and Little Green Book are just a couple more that I would suggest that you add to your collection.
