    ugh...gross river. i think it's a good fold.

i bet this turn almost always. around $15.

if we have AJs on the river and the action was the same, should we call the shove?

I didn't bet the turn because besides a bluff, what does he c/r the flop with that the turn didn't improve for him as well?

Not on Pokerroom. Aside from the very rare spewtard almost no one shows aggression without a set or better.

He's unknown, he could c/minraise the flop with a lot of things. I probably 3-bet the flop. I definitely bet the turn.

As for the river... you're making a point that no one shows aggression. So why are you raising the river if you're so afraid? And i think your thoughts about pokerroom is a pretty big generalization that is probably not completely true (although i haven't played pokerroom so...).

Anyways, as played, river is a fold. I just really don't like your entire line.

Obviously people bet, I was referring more to his river shove and how I would respond to it in Hyper's scenario. Normally I would 3-bet the flop looking to get all-in but not in an unraised pot. And normally I would have raised preflop but my comp was spazzing on me and I got to the table with like no time left so I just hit call.

It is a generalization and because of that of course it's not completely true. But it's something to keep in mind in these scenarios. And I don't like playing for stacks on such a generally passive site against an unknown when all I have is trips with a crappy kicker.

Reading back on this, it might seem like I'm being snappy. I'm not, I'm just trying to clarify the feel for this game and why I took the actions I did prior to the river.

galapagos- you post hands where you play super passive A LOT and I constantly am like bet/raise/shove every street and you say "you dont understand how passive these games are" and I say "yea thats true I dont, but I cant imagine playing such a monster so godamn passive"

Maybe you should just start raising like any 2 preflop in position or something...

I think my play is heavily affected by my downswing lately. When I argue points though, I'm not saying I'm correct. I'm just bringing up things that weren't addressed by helpful posts and would like to hear the reasons it's wrong.

Also, the hands I post are mostly vs unknowns who I will play more passively against. Against someone I have seen play for a few rounds my game gets sonsiderably more aggressive.

to answer the question of your post i dont think your river bet is pointless because your up against trips alot here, in fact i would make it like 33 cuz hed have a hard time folding trips.

Yea I dont care if you are playing at TJ Cloutier's Retirement Village for Nits, you still have to bet this turn...

I have no respect for villain's check-min raise on the flop. We have top pair + FD, which is super strong. I re-pop this to 20ish.

on the turn we have trips+FD lol...I want my stack in the middle ASAP

Though, I'm not that great at folding

    Sorry for hijacking this thread.

"I can remember one time in the World Series when I had kings twice during the first two hours of the $10,000 championship tournament. Both times, I made a little raise and was reraised, and I threw the kings away before the flop. And both times, I was right:Mike Allen showed me the Aces on both hands. I knew the player and so I knew the kings weren't any good." - TJ "I'm a fucking nit" Cloutier
