Personally I would just shove here with a lot of hands including QQ+, spades with the ace or the king, and sets. JJ is closer but I think you should go all-in here against the short stack.

I'm not disagreeing, but then you are paying off sets and slowplayed KK+ every time?

It's going to be hard for you to avoid losing your stack anyway if that's what he has, but I'd be a lot more worried about losing my action when ahead (which you usually are when he min-raises this flop) than I would be about getting stacked when behind. The last thing you want to have happen is for 88 to not put any more money in the pot because the turn is a spade or an ace, or else have him be bluffing this flop and hit some random runner runner to beat you.

I don't really beat myself up over losing a stack because my overpair is no good, but when I only win a medium-sized pot when the villain's stack should have been mine that's when I really feel like I screwed up.

on a draw board like this push and dont think twice about it unless we know solidly opp is minraising withou a set.
If this board is pretty blank and not so draw heavy, call raise and donk turn folding to a raise.
24/4 could so easily have TT/JJ here as well as Axs.
If we stived thos versus opps expected range its so easily a push...
