    Default Get to 10k

Ok operation get to 5k was completed. I decided to start a new thread for get to 10k because nobody reads the other one anymore, lol, and I need to do a better job this time around making it more interesting and posting more hands.

Right now Im still playing 100nl full ring and Im pretty confident in my ability to beat it for a lot of money. Im not sure if Im going to try to move up to 200nl full ring or start playing 6max which I am eventually going to need to do.

Here is a graph of what i think mostly made up the operation get to 5k.
(i think that if i played the first 7-8k hands right now it would look like more like the rest of the graph, maybe i wasnt running as good but still remember making more mistakes then)

    i forgot to update yesterday

basically i played almost 3k hands at 100nl and won around 400.

then i played 100nl hu vs some fish for awhile took 300 something off him, and then somehow with a shitload of coolers he came back and beat me out of most of the money so that was really gay. he beat me out of one huge pot i had two pair vs his set and just the way he was check raising my cbet every time then potting the rest of the way with air the whole game i was really fucked in that spot with us both having big hands.

still finished up around 350 maybe more on the day so i guess it was a pretty good day.

    Ez,

I know everyone has different levels of focus, and maybe you can run 6-8 tables and still observe opponents/table dynamics with a high degree of accuracy. But i imagine you could do it better if you cut down to something like 4 tables. I seem to remember you playing FR a couple months ago; have you switched to 6Max? Are you planning on doing so?

What are your goals for poker? Do you intend on grinding 200-600NL for 100k+/year, or do you intend to continue moving up in limits as long as you can? If your goals are the former, you are probably better off improving your abilities as a multitabler. If that isn't the case, i think you might want to consider some of my suggestions. Cutting down tables, and paying more attention to individual tables (as well as lots of time studying) has improved my poker playing skills tremendously from where they were on a few months ago!

wow i forgot about this operation thread.
i moved up to 200nl full ring and 4 tabled that for awhile. i started opening up a lot there... i was playing something like 22-23/18.
now ive started to 4 table 200nl 6max, i like how that is going as far as my play... results arent good right now because of some gay two outers and stuff like that but it hasnt been near enough hands so whatever.
my goal would be to keep moving up as far as i can. if i cant then yeah i guess i would just look to grind out like that.

lol, you wouldn't know it by reading this thread, but this seems the appropriate place to congratulate you on reaching 10k! Nice work.

Full Tilt Poker - No Limit Hold'em Cash Game - $1/$2 Blinds - 2 Players - (LegoPoker Hand History Converter)

    Hero (BB): $200.00
    SB: $207.50

Preflop: Hero is dealt (2 Players)
SB raises to $6.00, Hero raises to $18.00, SB calls $12.00
Ok so pretty standard 3bet here preflop.

    Flop: ($36) (2 Players)
Hero bets $20.00, SB calls $20.00
I just make a cbet here.

    Turn: ($76) (2 Players)
Hero checks, SB bets $20.00, Hero calls $20.00
I checked here just to kind of slowdown and possibly get him to bluff. He made a really small bet and I just called.

    River: ($116) (2 Players)
Hero checks, SB bets $100.00, Hero calls $100.00
Ok so the flush completed now. I check and he bets 100 into 116.
Now my thinking was he more than likely doesnt have the flush because he bet 20 into 70 on the turn when he could have checked behind. that makes no sense for a FD to do that. And if he has a 2 pair here or something like that i dont see him betting 100 here. so i called.

    Pot Size: $316.00 ($0.50 Rake)

SB had ([8c As] a pair of Eights) and LOST (-$158.00)
Hero had (a pair of Kings) and WON (+$157.50)

Full Tilt Poker - No Limit Hold'em Cash Game - $1/$2 Blinds - 4 Players - (LegoPoker Hand History Converter)

    Hero (SB): $200.00
    BB: $50.65
    UTG: $144.40
    BTN: $360.20

Preflop: Hero is dealt (4 Players)
UTG folds, BTN raises to $4.00, Hero raises to $12.00, BB folds, BTN calls $8.00
Preflop button minraises i make it 12 in the sb.

    Flop: ($26) (2 Players)
Hero bets $20.00, BTN calls $20.00
Ok so the flop is pretty good for me and I make a cbet, he calls.

    Turn: ($66) (2 Players)
Hero checks, BTN bets all-in for $328.20, Hero calls all-in for $168.00
Uncalled bet of $160.20 returned to BTN
Turn comes a 9 which at first really didnt look like a good card. I checked to keep the pot smaller and see what he does. He went all in for 168 more into 66. I thought about it and this would be weird for him to do with a set or a 9. and i dont see a 9 in his range that much from the action before the turn either. I decide that he probably has a PP under mine that didnt hit a set and call.

    River: ($402) (2 Players - 2 All-In)

    Pot Size: $402.00 ($2 Rake)

BTN had (a full house, Fives full of Nines) and WON (+$200.00)
Hero had (two pair, Kings and Nines) and LOST (-$200.00)
