    Default Heads Up SNG

In the early rounds of a heads up SNG where the blinds are 10/20, 15/30, and even 25/50...what's the best amount to be betting on the flop if it's just the blinds?

Usually you want to bet out about half the pot, but in the first round the pot is only 40, so betting out 20 is too easily called. I am just wondering what you guys usually bet in the early rounds of these things on the flop. I don't think I am betting enough and it's allowing good opponents to see the turn too cheap.

If you have a hand and there are draws on the board, pot it on the flop. If I feel sure that villain is on a draw on the turn, I pot it again. It's very hard to say without seeing specific hands though.

    Raise preflop.

In the early rounds (at least the first one), I like to just play small pots so I can get an idea of what my opponent is like. I used to preflop raise when I first started playing these, but then figured it's the first round and the blinds only total to $40, so seems better to just see a flop and hopefully hit a huge hand and then try to extract more chips. Patience is key in these things
