    Default Table Stats

Does anyone look for specific stats before joining a table? I'm talking about the average pot, percentage of players to the flop and the number of hands per hour?

I'm guessing it depends on how the individual plays but is there an ideal here or does it not matter too much?

Also, does it make any difference at 10NL and, if not, when does it begin to matter?

For 10Nl at stars anyway you should look for % players seeing the flop of more than 50% (in the evenings its easy to find 60%), next you want a pot size of about 1$ or up.
    Other
    - you dont want more than 2 big stacks (more than 10$ in front of them) at the table
    - You then need to play a very tight game to exploit these table conditions around 18/15
    - If you have Poker Ace hud pay attention to the table % of players seeing the flop and if it drops below 35% for any period find a new table - (It usually means a couple of regulars have joined and are doing the same thing you are.)
-These guys are donkeys and calling stations whenever you think you have the best hand value bet the $%$ out of it, if you think they are on a draw even overbet and they will still call.
-If they raise - Learn to fold!! Very few of these guys are bluffing and you can tell really quickly who is.

    Good luck

I love unknowns with big stacks. Easy money.

big stacks at 10NL are fun, alot of the time they think "oh wow i made 1o$, now i can gamble with this 10$ and still be breaking evens!!!" and so thats where the fun begins.

Yeah this is true, and I do the same.
I guess it was just advice towards someone who might be fairly new to the game and couldn't easily tell the difference between a donkey and a regular.
For example if I was sitting at the table it would always be with 100+ stack and I run at 11.7 bb/100 over 50 000 hands at that game and if there was just one more similiar 'regular' at the table you would definitely want to go find an easier table.

ya if u play aggressive, low avg pot is good since it usually means others play passive.

I look more at %of players per flop than average pot size. The higher, the better.
