Default I ain't scurred of yer king

Both of these hands are vs. PokerStars 100NL regulars who are pretty aggro by the standards of these games but I haven't been playing vs. either of them for very long. Villain 1 is kinimod22 and Villain 2 is Niamer if anyone knows either of them. I think this is the first time I've played a medium-sized pot against either one of them. In both hands I'd be leaning toward folding to a third barrel but there's always a chance I might go station on them.

i like it, good defense against 2 barrels on scare cards. seems likely that they will only fire 3 barrels with strong hands
Jman: every time the action is to you, it's an opportunity for you to make the perfect play.

There are more hands that beat us in hand 2.

we're ahead more often in hand 1, so we don't need outs.

Tx is a big part of anyone's opening raising range. the K on the turn is just to add insult to injury. even if we hit the 6 or the 8, we're unlikely to win more money unless villain will call light on the river to a raise.

I like to reserve call, call, callish lines for spewy sorts of players. kinimod22 is kinda boarderline.

Hand 1: Min-raising the turn is sexy and pisses TAggs off.
Hand 2: I'd just pop him on the flop.

Both seem really marginal but if you think they're two barreling too much this is the only correct play, however I probably raise the flop on both.

Yeah, i usually put in a raise or two here...As others have said i like to reserve the calling station in me for spewy retards.

Anyway, don't mind hand 1, don't really like hand 2.

You guys really raise the flop on Hand 1 against an UTG raiser? I don't think my hand fares nearly well enough against his range to raise here. If I were on the button facing a CO raise from this player, a flop raise would make much more sense.

I agree a flop raise on Hand 2 would've been good.

Results: Both times the river was a blank and it went check-check.

Hand 1: His AJo was no good.
Hand 2: River 5 and my mighty 8 kicker scooped the pot vs. his 67o.

Thanks for the comments people, I wasn't sure whether I played these hands well or was just on the right side of variance. I'm going to experiment with raising more flops with lukewarm hands. I'll do some playing around with PokerStove to see what a good range might be for raising a c-bet on different flops.

Pro Tip: If you go bust you don't have to leave the table and you can always pull some money out of your pocket and buy chips from the dealer or they'll even send a chiprunner to you. What a concept!
