    Default lost and clueless ....

I messed this up good and proper, by the river I was clueless. I think the thing that got me was the number of callers, acting first and the flop itself. Could someone critisize my betting and suggest a better way...

He had only been on the table a few hands and played one which I hadn't paid any attention to whatsoever. I had just closed my other game down because I realised my attention was wandering and I needed a break.

You want to felt, and should bet bigger.

Also, move down or up. .02/.05 is a useless limit. .01/.02 fullstacked is so incredibly juicy that you can make as much there as at .05/.1

ok, bet to get it in asap? pot it, near as dammit pot it.....would have played easier.

I could never understand what 0.01/0.02 players where doing in the slightest. I'm still finding myself in cash (6k handsish) and only really been doing 2-3k hands per month. Still a bit nervous about experimenting in 0.5/0.1 but intend to take some pot shots at it.

.01/.02 is an excellent place to build a roll for small stakes. A lot more money can be made there than one would expect.

    1. Buy in deep
    2. Play all big hands extremely fast
    3. Profit

no offense, but same can be said of 10NL. it is highly possible to beat 10NL at a conservative 10 BB/100. and, i find it hard to believe that you (and by that i mean anyone) can beat 2NL for 50 BB/100...or the equivalent of 10 BB/100 at 10NL. variance wont allow it.

basically, thats the "fuel" for me moving up again. i play 10NL and crush it for 13/100. all i have to do is beat 100NL for 1/100 and i make the same money. hard to believe a 13 winrate at 10 cant beat 100NL for at least 1. ...but right now i'm proving it IS possible...lol.
LHE is a game where your skill keeps you breakeven until you hit your rush of random BS.

Nothing beats flopping quads while dropping a duece!

btw he had 76 spades...... doh.

My roll is $230 and my short term aim had been to get it to $250 and have a go at 10c poker. If i drop back to 200 move back down again. 5c is fairly easy really as most people don't play back at you and get over excited over their hands.

I think this was my worst played hand tonight due to weak aggression. At my level there are too many hands coming along for the ride to worry about trips/monstersunderbed.

    2. Play all big hands extremely fast

I don't normally forget this one.

2nl has a 250bb max buyin, and the play is so bad that you can open push big hands and probably make 20bb/100 (looks like you're not going by ptbb).

Friend and I combined have played approximately 70k hands there, and both have beaten it for 50bb/100. That matches your 10bb/100 at 10nl.

Not that playing 10nl isn't sometimes necessary.

i think low limit sngs are the best way to build a roll
