Check the flop. It makes the turn easier to play since now hands that you beat may also lead the turn. Also you can fold to a river bet easier.

As played don't bet the turn. Hands like 10-10 - Q-Q probably aren't going to lead the river anyways, and you will struggle to get a weak Ace (A-2 - A-Q) to fold, especially if the villain is a donk. And of course if villain has A-K he isn't folding.

As others have said, checking behind on the flop isn't bad when your in position. IMO, your going to see ace-rag here a lot, and you can't really get these donks off their ace rag so i just hope for a cheap showdown and fold to any sizable bet.

As played check behind on the turn (Isn't position great?). Fold to any sizable river bet.

why are we expecting to see Ace-rag a lot?

check, this isn't the kind of guy you want to try to bluff out and our hand still has some value.

    my friend says
limp + call preflop + call on the flop = Ax 99.9999999% of the time.

damn it i shoulda believed him.

gabe, i remember your post when you played MTTs about checking behind the flop with KK when the A flops.

are you only doing this with position?

Huh? We want them to bet on the turn, but don't want them to bet on the river? Do you have super secret x-ray vision that tells you when they're bluffing? Or is a turn bet 90% a bluff and a river bet 90% a value bet? This is a big grey area in my understanding of poker, so please explain how this works.

I never see anyone fold QQ-TT here on this flop at these stakes so I think there's value in betting.

Turn check and I'd fold to a substantial river bet.

If villain were to bluff the turn, it would be unlikely he would bluff the river after.

On a board like this, villain can really on c/c the flop with an Ace in his hand, or something better (i.e. a set). However if we check the flop villain may lead the turn with hands that contain an Ace as well as hands that don't contain an Ace(hands we beat). Now if Hero calls the turn, villain is unlikely to lead the river without an Ace in his hand. Basically if we check the flop we allow weaker hands to stay in and attempt to take the pot away from us on the turn. With the board so dry and the fact that its a reraised pot, it is unlikely villain will bluff the river after being called on the turn since our range would contain many Ace-x hands.
