the reason for the turn bet was because i may still be best or fold the table. any interest, and i have to give credit for the A or flush...and with no redraw, i have no recourse.

does that make a decent thought process, or a donkey move?

Perfect example of the bet/fold concept ISF talks about. Terrible river for you, but it may have made it easier for you to get away from this hand.
Playing live . . . thanks alot Bin Laden.

didnt matter. once he called my "probe," i was done with the hand.

he would have had to give me hellacious odds to get me to call...too much out there beats me...even though a part of me still thinks these are bluffs.

bet/fold is fine on turn. However, against some opponents I just give up as Ax makes up 90% of their range in early positions

I like c/c turn, c/f the river. You're out of position and the A is a really sucky card for you. Aside from being an over, it puts a flush draw out there which is irresistable at these stakes. Only hands calling you are A's and draws and either way the river plays the same as you're out of position. Draw misses, You check, villain bets, you fold. Club hits, you check, villain bets, you fold. Or draw misses, you check, villain checks, you take pot. You could play it aggro and bet the river too but that's leaking money at .10/.25.

IMO, save the turn bet. Only weaker hands fold and trying to judge if a big river bet is a maniac with an A or a missed draw, if the river blanks, is just -ev in my opinion. Pick a better spot.
