Here is how Full Tilt Summarized FTOPS Event #10:

The Stars Come Out for FTOPS V’s Stud Tournament

FTOPS V event #10 featured a prize pool of $119,400 and drew 597 players, including Full Tilt Poker pros Keith Sexton, Max Pescatori, and , along with FTOPS V event #4 champion bmqball. Host Keith Sexton finished strong, taking 24th place in the tournament.

With 11 players remaining, Pescatori was third in chips with 197,559 and had bmqball sitting to his direct right with 174,438, running hot from his Pot-Limit Omaha title less than a week earlier.

emma_aa88 came to the final table with a commanding chip lead of more than 500,000. Conversely, KCRobWW clawed his way to the final eight, arriving with only 25,000. He was eliminated when his two pair of Q-Q-9-9 was dominated by lileor99’s full house of 10-10-10-Q-Q. KCRobWW took home $1,731 for his eighth-place finish.

Max Pescatori went on a run as the final table began. With up cards of 7-2, Pescatori caught another 7 on 4th street, and was able to bet POP-it-UP – showing A-5-J – off a 62,000 pot. On the very next hand, Pescatori won a 234,000 pot with only a pair of Queens in the hole versus emma_aa88’s 9s. The two consecutive pots gave Pescatori more than 275,000 in chips and a great shot at the championship.

Now playing as the short stack, POP-it-UP was the next player to go when he pushed all-in on second street with only King high. emma_aa88 showed up cards of Q-3 and called with Ace high. emma_aa88 paired the 3 on 3rd street to send POP-it-UP packing in seventh place with $2,328.

bmqball, sporting his shiny new FTOPS avatar, was the new short stack at the table and quickly got involved in a hand with emma_aa88, betting on every street with Aces up. ema_aa88 called him down, trying to catch a heart flush that never came. bmqball showed another pair – Queens down – and doubled to 181,000.

emma_aa88 gradually surrendered chips to any player willing to get involved in a hand, all the while berating the other players and the railbirds until becoming the short stack with only 122,797. Meanwhile, bluff27allin did just the opposite, winning small pots and bring-ins, and taking the chip lead with more than 625,000.

, with 10s down and Aces up, eventually eliminated emma_aa88 who held Queens and 3s for sixth place and $3,223 in prize money. After emma_aa88’s frequent table talk, Pescatori displayed his class by saying “gg emma” after the knock-out hand.

Showing only a 2, bmqball pushed all-in and was called by lileor99 who had 6s down. But bmqball had a pair of Kings in the hole and the lead. Unfortunately for bmqball, lileor99 made a second pair when a Jack came on 6th street, sending the former FTOPS champ home with $4,298. With the stellar play bmqball has exhibited during FTOPS V, we expect his amazing run to continue.

Max Pescatori’s chip stack took a huge hit when he was called down by lileor99 who eventually came over the top on 7th street when the 9 of spades gave him an Ace-high flush. Pescatori mucked his cards and pointed out that he was rolled up, to which he could only say, “sick.”

Pescatori was crippled and had to push all-in with Ace high. Even though he paired his Ace, he still lost to bluff27allin who held Kings and Jacks. Pescatori’s fourth-place finish was the highest for any Full Tilt Poker pro in an FTOPS V event, and earned him $6,925 for his great run.

With three players remaining, lileor99 and bluff27allin were close to even, both with more than 700,000 in chips. wildcatsfan69 was the short stack, just below 200,000.

With both players showing a 9 up, wildcatsfan69 raised bluff27allin, who called. wildcatsfan69’s bet on every subsequent street, eventually going all-in and showing two pair, 3s and 4s. But bluff27allin had made a straight on 6th street and eliminated wildcatsfan69 from the tournament in third place for $11,940 in prize money.

Heads-up started with the blinds at 25,000/50,000 and a 4,000 ante, creating a lot of large pots. With 450,000 chips in the middle, bluff27allin was forced to fold when both players represented a diamond flush, but lileor69 had the Ace.

Just a few hands later, both players made up pairs on 6th street, bluff27allin with Jacks and lileor69 with Aces. lileor99 continued betting his hand and bluff27allin called him down. With 600,000 in the pot, lileor99 revealed that he had another Ace in the hole, giving him more than a two-to-one lead with well over 1 million in chips.

Significantly short stacked, bluff27allin put his last remaining chips in the middle on sixth street and revealed 3c-Qc-10c-Qs-2c-8h, for a pair of Queens, a flush draw, and a gut-shot straight draw. But lileor69 was already sailing away with the championship, having made a full boat on 5th street with 4d-4s-9s-9h-4h. lileor99 earned $29,850 for the championship and bluff27allin took home $19,701 for his second-place finish.
